As in-house Senior Designer and Design Lead at 23andMe for three years, I helped to build the foundational brand and visual identity of 23andMe. I worked on countless website redesigns and improvements. Being that 23andMe was a blooming company, it was a very eventful three years and allowed me many learning and growth opportunities – from a complete site redesign in just three months for the company relaunch, to creating a more collaborative process with developers, to launching new 23andMe products and breaking into new markets.

As an independent designer, I get the opportunity to use my experience and knowledge of the 23andMe brand to continue working on the evolution of 23andMe.com. These are some select freelance 23andMe projects.

The recruiting team at 23andMe was ready to invest in getting more out of the 23andMe site. Coming from a one-page presence that only featured open job listings, they wanted to develop a more robust experience with valuable content for viewers exploring 23andMe's employment opportunities. They wanted to show job seekers who 23andMe is, what they stand for, and what it's really like to be part of an amazing company.

For this project, I worked as the sole designer from concept to completion in close collaboration with the Head of Recruiting to create their dream experience, and developers to ensure the quality of the end product. We built out a total of five pages and a new nav to integrate with the 23andMe ecommerce website. The end result was an experience that felt seamless with the 23andMe brand and website, included all of the content they developed, and felt fresh and friendly (just like the people ; ) These are some highlights from the end product.

After expanding the Careers site experience and content, 23andMe wanted to develop a microsite dedicated to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion and their initiatives to support each.

For this project, I was the sole designer and collaborated with internal marketing, HR, and engineering partners at 23andMe from concept through launch of the microsite. The scope included designing a single page for desktop and mobile and developing a set of nine infographics using company statistics to accurately reflect the workforce diversity at 23andMe.
